IHSA Nationals 2000

Georgia International Horse Park

Atlanta, Georgia
I'm on the U of Findlay Western Equestrian Team that went to the national-level competition. Here are some pictures from the team's fun-filled trip.

First off, this is me, in my show get-up before I had to go into the ring. Lord is that ever a scary sight.

Here is the western team eating out ... which we did together almost every night.

top row: Sean, Cindy (our coach), Jess, and Jay
kneeling: Barbi, Nick, Stephanie, and Darci
We had just bought "supplies" to decorate our table at the show grounds, and an inflatable monkey.

Outside of the Super Wal-Mart near our hotel, there was a Giant Snake Exhibit, which we all decided to go through for a dollar.

Steph getting eaten by a giant anaconda?! No, it was just a picture on the side of the trailer. Phew!

Next to the Giant Snake Exhibit there was a big inflatable ball pit. Although we wanted to go in, we were "too big." (grumble grumble)

Since it was near-by, we returned to the Giant Snake Exhibit several times. On this occasion, we got to hold two of the giant snakes!

Our hotel had a swimming pool (that supposedly closed at 10pm).

Some fun between bouts of Marco Polo.

Chilin' in the pool with the monkey.

Steph and the monkey, wearing her show vest ... hmm.

Aaaah! The worlds of english and western collide ... this is a picture of me and my friends Charity and Sara.
