One of the places we visited while we were out there was Spearfish Canyon in South Dakota. This is Sean and his truck in the canyon.

This is a view of (recently shut down) open face gold mine in Lead, SD. Mining still continues, but they're digging out underground veins.
We went through Spearfish Canyon on our way back too. This time we stopped to look at the river.
Sean tried to pan for gold with the bottom cut off of a 20 oz. pop bottle ...
He's still trying ... but he never did get anything.
We also went to Devil's Tower, in Wyoming.
